To those who do not know Edinburgh or Scotland well, it comes as something of a surprise that the breakfast room is frequently bathed in warm morning sunshine.
In common with the Drawing room, the breakfast room overlooks the garden.
Dried flowers hang from the rafters... lingering in this room is a pleasure that many Newmills House guests enjoy.
Continental Style Breakfast
David and Lois-May concentrate on preparing a really top class Continental Style healthy breakfast.
Depending on the time of year and availability of supplies this will include fresh fruit [sometimes from the garden], yoghurt, cheeses and cold meats, croissants and cereals, together with a selection of teas and coffees.
